vfortin
Hi, I've got an Atmosphere object + Lit Fog shader, a perforated grid and a spotlight underneath it pointing upwards. This results in some nice rays through the fog but it seems that the grid is "comped" on top of everything, matting the fog where it shouldn't. Hopefully the images speak for themselves. Hip file attached. Any idea what could be causing this? Thanks! litfog_issue.hip Edited October 11, 2013 by vfortin
fsimerey
The problem comes from your settings of litfog shader. Your minimum step size is 5, try with 1 or like default settings 0.1 and render becomes fine.
vfortin
Ahh thank you Francois!! The scene I'm working on has a huge scaling, hence the larger step size. Hopefully I can find a good balance between precision and speed, otherwise I guess I'll have to bring everything down to a decent size:)
