How to use IsoOffset to determine which faces are inside object?

Recommended Posts

There are two objects intersecting, let's say a sphere and a plane. Now, I want to delete all of the plane's faces inside the sphere. I did it using a Cookie SOP, but I was wondering if this wasn't also possible using an IsoOffset.

Creating a Fog Volume using the IsoOffset, all positions inside the volume equal 1, outside 0...so far, so good.

What do I need to do now in order to get the geometry that is inside the sphere and finally delete it?

Thanks for any ideas!
