amination
Has anyone approached creating procedurally animated bubbling effect with random movements in a Shader? And by animated not to burst the bubbles, just they puff up and go back down. Somehow similarly as Pixar's Partysaures Rex foam generation, only just getting the shader done with displacement. More like the images below: Or to make it a bit filthier looks like "Black Spot" from Pirates of the Caribbean where it appeared on Jack's Parrow's hand: Thanks guys! amination
I've actually build the texture but unfortunately I was unable to animate the texture. I couldn't even get the animation by connecting parameters in CHOPs networks. Houdini wouldn't let you to animate shaders directly in SHOPs? How can override this to get the shader to be animated? Thank you in advance. bubbleShader_v02.hipnc.hipnc
Erik_JE
All parameters that are gonna be animated need to be promoted in the shader. You can't put animated paramters inside the shader.
amination
Last time I actually did the same and it didn't work for me, but now it actually worked. Thanks! I guess Houdini needed a restart to get the animation working.
