baq
Hi. I installed apprentice but I very often got this error: 3164: Fatal error: Segmentation Fault The instruction at "0x77f58ddf" referenced memory at "0x60351520". The memory could not be "written". After that Houdini turn off. This is in WindowsXP. What's goin' on ???
mark
what version of apprentice.. the latest? i get some random crashes but not sure what error causes them.. 7.0.102. segmentation faults can also mean faulty RAM, and you usually encounter them when the machine is under load. slade
I had a situation similiar to that .. is your computing running hot ? that can be your problem. ram gets really faulty if its overheated

baq
I noticed this error especially after that: -when Houdini is in Output and I render somethin, next I go to Object and when I close Mplay, after that... BOOOM and I see an error. Is that possible error is connected with rendering or somethin ? is your computing running hot I don't think it's overheated. Computer runs usually all day but sometimes I turn it off for night. Greetz
