Is it possible to detect similarity in different music tracks using Ho

Hi,

 

Since Houdini has extensive audio capabilities, can this be done? Someone here must have tried to do this

 

Similarity can be in many aspects so I am not exactly sure which ones I should be looking for but I mean to be able to find similarly sounding tracks this way:

I don't know if it's best to just compare 2 tracks and see how close they are to each other, or come up with a way that maps the music into a much smaller data set like a 3d volume and then use that to calculate a single value to then sort a whole library of music using this value in the order of similarity?

 

This is just something I had in mind for a while but I don't know how to do it.
