Font Sop with Polyextrude - Generates Bad Mesh (Ngons)

Hi guys,

 

i am creating a "Font Sop" then i am using the "Polyextrude Sop", but as you can see, the mesh isn't quite clean, as the sop produces big ngons.

In Softimage, there is the "text to curve converter" which produces a better tesellated mesh. Is there a way to do that in houdini?

Sorry for my late reply,

 

@kunz07 this worked well.

 

@mike maybe you can give me a hip file? I can load it, the problem is, while importing alembics, "some" ngons are blasted away, which is an undefined behaviour.
