old school Posted July 7, 2014 Share Posted July 7, 2014 Enabling save in background allows Houdini to cook operators without having to wait for the previous frame to finish saving to disk. For the caching out of large flip simulations for example where there could be 2-10GB of data being written to disk, you could see a large time saving by enabling this feature. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
