Guest tar
Whoa - it's a renderer slumber party now at Houdini's place - we now have Arnold, Renderman, Mantra and Octane to play with
cgcris
This is actually an interesting one, will octane work with Houdini Indie? I know the limitation of no 3rd party engine, but octane also comes with Brigade which is their real-time path traicing: http://brigade3.com/ If Houdini Indie is really aimed at game developers, will they let octane run? Lets hope so. Edited August 15, 2014 by cgcris
jordibares
I would love to give it a go… look dev in Octane is so fast… :-)
SamHowell
This is great news. I never really learnt to like Octane, I always prefered Thea when it came to unbiased renders. This is too good a development to pass up though. I guess I will be taking another look at the latest Octane release again.
