midifile help

Hi,

I am trying to use the data in a midifile (channel 6) to drive the scale parameter of a fractal SOP. I know Houdini can make light work of such stuff but I just need some pointers. Any and all help is appreciated!

Add a Midi In CHOP, specify your MIDI Source, specify 6 in the "MIDI Channels", drag and drop the name of the track in the chop viewer onto the scale parameter of your fractal sop.

Thanks for the reply. When I try this I get the red 'error' flag on the fractal SOP though. Probably something I'm doing. I'll tinker with it some more.

if you middle-click on the tile, what does the error say?

'Error: Unable to evaluate expression (Expression stack error (/obj/model/fractal1/scale))"

Uh, did you choose "Export CHOP" when you dragged the chop name onto the parameter?

No, I didn't see any options when dragging the CHOP name. I'll try again.
