supremeoh
Hi, beginner question, when doing a water sim, whats the difference between using the particle "source particle emitter" and using particle fluids "emit particle fluid"? is one like a newer methodology? is there like a preferred way to use one or the other? Its just that on some hip files that I've seen regular "source particles" are being used to act as water rather than the flip fluid particles. Thanks for your time! pbarua
whats the difference between using the particle "source particle emitter" and using particle fluids "emit particle fluid"? Well "emit particle fluid" is a shelf tool which in design to setup(emit) flip fluid from an object, while "source particle emitter" shelf tool design for emitting normal (dummy) particles. Flip fluid is also particle system but have some liquid properties like friction, density, viscosity, elasticity etc. emit particle fluid shelf tool uses source volume dop initialized to source flip to emit flip fluid, you can use "Particle Fluid Emitter" dop also.
