harima
Hi All, I am trying to model a mitochondrion, the thingy that exists in the cells and has these characteristics folds. I can perfectly do it by hand with a curve and take it from there, but then I started trying to find a more procedural way. (At least for the profile curve) I tried vops I tried chops, mostly combining sin waves and noise and I am getting a "result" but I am missing the more random organic shapes that I am after. Its not a big deal I guess for me to solve it procedurally. Its mainly curiosity. So if you have some ideas and some free time please have a look Thanks
eetu
Here's an iterative reaction-diffusion style attempt. It has some vague biological plausibility, but it's quite volatile and you'd probably have a hard time tweaking the parameters to get just the right-looking effect. ee_mito.hip ee_mito.mov
