MartinuZ
Hi, I'd like to create a custom global variable $E_PROJECT that defines a location on a local harddisk. I can do this with "aliases and variables" but these are not stored, and gone when I restart houdini.. I've tried houdini.env and 123.py but this doesn't work probably because of my syntax. so how do I do this? cheers, Martijn
lukeiamyourfather
See this if you haven't already. It has examples of how to setup custom environment variables for Houdini. https://www.sidefx.com/docs/houdini14.0/basics/config_env Maybe post what's not working for you? MartinuZ
it works! (in the env file) The autocomplete feature does not recognize my custom variable (is this normal?) and it does not appear in the list of the "aliases and variables" menu, I assumed it would. that's why I thought it didn't worked.. thanks!
