Juzwa
Hi, Wherever I see people have this nice smooth wire shaded view. The wires are dark and for sure you can tell where are the edges. This is how crappy is my smooth wire shaded: The wire mesh is barely visible! I've been looking for some settings on wire color but cant find it anywhere. Where can I set my wire colors? malexander
Try increasing the Wire Blend factor in the Display Options (Geometry tab, Wireframe group). Its default is 0.5 (50% wire, 50% surface).
Juzwa
Thank you, this is much better. But still the wirecolor is light gray. How can I change it to black?
malexander
In Houdini 14, the wireframe color was split into two symbolic colors in the 3DSceneColors files - WireframeColor and WireOverColor. The former sets the color for pure wireframe models (not shaded) and the the latter for the wireframe in wire-over-shaded mode. Houdini 13 uses WireframeColor for both, and unfortunately there's no way to set it to a darker color without making wireframe rather hard to see against the dark background.
Juzwa
Thank you, this has pretty exhausted the topic
malexander
I did forget to mention that for the Dark color scheme, the WireOverColor in H14 is a dark color to show up against geometry, while WireframeColor is light, for contrast with the black background. Now it's exhausted
