Juzwa
Hi, I have huge problems with understanding how houdini edit geometry sop works. Most of the times its very difficult to make a selection. Eg. I have a box. Geometry mode set to Points. I press select (S) and make some selection. Now i would like to just move the vertices, to i press T. The gizmo appear for just a moment and dissapear. And I cant move my vertices. I cam manually press on move, rotate or translate, but the gizmo just pops up for a moment and nothing happens. How can I make a simple selecion and then then transform this selecion? Maybe I'm in some mode that I made by mistake?
edward
When you do this, does it say "Move" in the horizontal toolbar above the viewport? If yes, then try right-clicking on the "Handle" icon that's already pressed down in the toolbar left of the viewport. Are there some toggles that you can enable? Maybe you should just post an animated gif or something.
Juzwa
Actually I've just learned that this kind of behaviour tends to happen. I was told by a friend to merge my scene into an empty one and/or make new scene view and it did help
edward
That sounds like you turned off the handles at one point and that setting has been saving into your particular scene?
Juzwa
I can't check it now because I've overwritten the scene. What do u mean "turn off the handles"? Where I can do that?
edward
In the right-click menu of the "Show Tool" icon in the left toolbar.
