sebkaine
Hi guys, i am trying to get decent collisions with cloth. the setup is pretty simple, but i fail to obtain what i want ! the sims is slow and the collisions not accurate , any advise to help make this work smoothly would be great. Thanks for your time ! Cheers E cloth_colllide.hip
Stalkerx777
Try NOT to use volume based collision on your static object. Even if volume representation is good enough, it doesn't work well in resolving collision.
sebkaine
Many thanks Alexey ! it did work a lot better without volume. i was also able to speed stuff a lot by - lowering max sampling - disable self collision i'm closer to what i expect ! i would be curious to know if you have any idea on how to achieve non reversible deformation like metal sheets that bend but can't go back to their original form, but instead keep their deformation state. i think i have to play with rest position, by using the deforming object , but i only get a half working stuff, with some weird behavior, if you have any idea that would great ! i have attach my attempt with the rest pos.
