How to get accurate cloth collision with object ?

Many thanks Alexey ! it did work a lot better without volume. i was also able to speed stuff a lot by

- lowering max sampling

- disable self collision

 

i'm closer to what i expect ! :)

 

i would be curious to know if you have any idea on how to achieve non reversible deformation like metal sheets that bend but can't go back to their original form,

but instead keep their deformation state.

 

i think i have to play with rest position, by using  the deforming object , but i only get a half working stuff, with some weird behavior,

if you have any idea that would great ! i have attach my attempt with the rest pos.
