rolfcoppter
Hey guys, My First play blasts I still have lots to do and am open to all your input. I feel like i have a scene scale issue here as well. let me know what you think. My list to do... 1. Make wax harden a lot smoother than it is. 2. Stop top particles from melting after a certain point. 3. Switch in a better model of anything other than a cube once i get the look i want 4. Make and awesome Wax shader Simulation Specs : Particle Separation 0.25 Grid Scale 1.75 Viscosity 10-500000 Simulation Time 1 Hour 22 Mins Meshing Time 9 Mins 15 Secounds Edited June 19, 2015 by rolfcoppter

rolfcoppter
My first render of the wax melt test i have been doing. I just threw a basic refraction shader together because at this point its still in a testing phase, and i didn't want to spend too much time shading when I'm going to replace the box with something more practical later. I do plan on making a SSS shader at some point in this project to get a more wax feel.
rolfcoppter
New Simulation with a model that i got on turbo squid Right now i think its flowing with too much force and feels more like water than wax. getting closer though.
rolfcoppter
I have my first render of the head melting and although there are some things that need improvements regarding the simulation I feel like for a test Im quite happy with it and am going to start moving onto a new project. Would love everyone input/constructive criticism/
