how to separate BSDF channels ?

Tom i would be extremely interested if you have more info about this feature ! :)

Do you have a very simple scene or maybe a link to the doc that explain this clearly ?

 

i just give you a link to be sure it's the same concept

regarding caustics... they take a bit to set up properly, but you can get nice caustics in mantra with gi lights and photon map generation.

- just add one extra image plane and from menu pick: Combined Lighting (per-light)

- render, save as exr

- open in Nuke or something, ignore beauty or other layers, just add(plus) all the per-light AOVs together

- then when you change their exposure or just mult them individually before adding together you are essentially controlling the per light intensities

Thanks a lot Tomas ! very useful tricks , i think that 3delight should be doing no more than what you describe , very cool to be able to do this in Mantra !
