mirHadi
hello I found this fantastic forum so I thought maybe I can ask the question from Houdini forum here: I'm new to Houdini and the latest version has been changed in so many parts. I need to understand how to use new sop solver v2 in H 14 but I can't find a tutorial about it. unfortunate the example files like DentingWithPops uses old sop solver dop and I can't get much out of it. here : https://vimeo.com/6660287 is a good tutorials about sop solver but the sop solver that he uses is old version (which makes it kinda difficult to me to understand) : the related file: https://sites.google.com/site/pqhoudinitutorial/home/houdiniprojectfiles/SOP_Solver_Houdini_10.zip?attredirects=0&d=1 but new sop solver just accepts data ( pink inputs not grey one) and inside of it there are 4 nodes instead of two.. and gives me error ( dash lines) and It says type mismatch. how is it possible to convert it to H 14? thank you very much
mestela
Had a quick go at recreating his solver example, should be enough to get you going. solver.hipnc (edit: reuploaded hip, tidied up the comments a bit, removed spurious connections) Edited August 13, 2015 by mestela
mirHadi
very cool.. thank you. It gave me very good sight. is it possible to do this with sop solver instead? because the whole thing began when I couldn't replicate the scene in H 14 with new SOP SOLVER ::2 .. in fact the grey input is gone and I don't know how to connect the geo to the sop solver... mismatch type. mestela
It's using a sop solver, they don't need to be in a dopnet. You should be able to feed this to the second network to do the pyro sim.
