xcaseyx
I recently built a scene to convert a bunch of bgeo sequences exported from another package to VDB meshes. Id create a geo node, drop a file nodes, import the 6 sequences and then merge them, but after Id have 2 merged the merge nodes would no longer work. so I tried merging 2 at a time them merging again.. to no avail. so I tried merging 2, coverting to openvdb, then repeating and merging the 2 vdb meshes.. no avail.. in the end I did it 3 times with 2 merges in each geo node. curious how you all would have handled it. anim
...Id create a geo node, drop a file nodes, import the 6 sequences and then merge them, but after Id have 2 merged the merge nodes would no longer work. .. no longer work how? you should be able to merge 6 geometries with no problem, merge may however complain if there is mismatch in attribs, so maybe you want to keep them packed untill you want to do some operation on them, anyway more info or scene would help
xcaseyx
I solved the issue, the problem was that all the sequences were only cached from X-Y frames not all frames, so when certain BGEO sequences weren't loading they were causing the merge to have an issue. anim
if you don't need all sequences for the full range, you can as well just set File SOP/Missing Frame parm to No Geometry to avoid it failing
