ParticleSkull
Hey guys, it's probably a very newbie question. I'm trying to scatter some points, to do some fracture, into an alembic file but it doesn't seem to work. All the points goes to the center of the scene, at 0 xyz. I've tried it with a couple of objects, even a very simple sphere, so it's not a mesh problem. Maybe is it an abc problem? Is there a better file to import into Houdini?Thx,Alvaro Edited September 19, 2015 by ParticleSkull
Guest mantragora
Maybe it's packed?
ParticleSkull
Hey,I don't think so, but i'm not sure. What I did to it import it is:A Geometry Node at scene level and then openned the abc on the file node. Maybe I should be importing on a different way?Thx,
pezetko
Middle click on the file node and check if it is made of polygons or packed one. Alembics are packed by default. Just attach convert sop and you are good to go.
Guest mantragora
Or unpackSOP, it's lighter on memory than convertSOP.
