beliveau.maxime
Hi everyone, I've been playing around with the ocean evaluate sop to generate some displacement maps and that works really well. The issue that I have is that I created a foam layer that travels on the animated surface from the ocean evaluate and at render time some of my particles end up getting matted from the displaced ocean evaluate. So my question is, is it possible to apply a displacement map to particles? Thanks!
Farmfield
So I'm guessing your displacement in rendering isn't that large, so if you don't find a solution to do this in rendering, you could work around it rendering your particles as a separate pass and then comp it on top of your ocean render. Kappy
You can use the Mantra Point Replicate Procedural to shift each particle in CVEX at render time. Super fast and efficient. Here's an example file. -James pointprocedural.hip
