Sierra62
MPC London is starting to unionize their comp department. I doubt it will be too long before the rest of the departments follow. http://vfxforum.org/2015/12/unionisation-at-mpc/ Now I am curious if MPC will start to outsource more of their work to their other studios. Guest tar
I'm reading this as the Comp team must be pretty unhappy with current work conditions.
michael
is anyone happy with current working conditions?
Guest tar
Yes of course but I pursue interesting work and am super excited by all that the new technologies have to offer. I don't expect anyone else to though, and, the workplaces shouldn't wear the Dickensian as a badge of honour! Unfortunately I've been through facilities with cinematographers and the 3d and comp rooms are described as 'just workers'...
altbighead
is anyone happy with current working conditions?Yes i am happy.I say No to unreasonable overtime and valuing my life outside of work that I know I will never get back as I get older. Edited: Generally ,I will let myself in for crunch time for a week or two out of 6/8 months contract.
