I add a sphere at the end of the boat , create a velocity direct backward , add noise, am i right? However I didnt get the very look of this photo. msyugo Posted December 7, 2015 Share Posted December 7, 2015 Hey, Just recently played with this kind of shot for the first time. You need to tweak the vel vectors quite a bit till it looks right. Also, do you have your object animated, moving in one direction i mean? Thats really gonna help you get the 'dispersion' and 'cone' shape that u usually see.... Hope it helps... Farmfield Posted December 7, 2015 Share Posted December 7, 2015 A ship wake is due to a combination of things, but as there is a low pressure zone behind the ship, the velocity is not directed backwards but inwards, downwards, behind the ship.
