wired behaviour between older and newer Houdini release

I've a trinings DVD from CG Society - Destruction in Houdini.

I rebuild a file for further training.

Well, its a little complex and I think its done with 14.xxx I rebuilt it with 15.0.313. But its not the same. tiny changes damage the whole result. Are there other algorythms used? ie. Attribwrangles / vopnoise etc.  Tried it 4 or 5 times but every time is the same dissaster. And also the deviations are so tiny the end is useless.

Does anyone have observed similiar behaviours between the releases?

Thanks in advance.

It is normal. Bullet is heavily evolving. It is also quite unpredictable (or even uncontrollable) on low substeps, that's why you get completely different results when just touching parameters a little, or using slightly different workflow, or even update Houdini. Just recreate scenes using simpler setups to get a right idea.

There is also very nice topic about controlling bullet sims, with examples:

By the way, sim there now behave completely differently from posted gif. It was only two months ago.
