thundercats1984
Hello I am new to houdini. I needed to send out an animated curve fom Maya to Houdini. I read that the best way of doing this was to use an Alembic. I managed to do this. But i am now stuck. I was wondering if you knew how to convert an alembic to a .bgeo in houdini. I have been teach myself. But I am struggling with the alembic work flow. I downloaded a project and they used a bake animation curve bgeo files. I want to replace there curve with my own. I would greatly appreciate the help. I have included the project file. hip.zip
Atom
You could just place a switch at the top of their stack and wire in your Alembic with a transform. Use the transform to correct any offset translation or scaling that may be in your Alembic file. Remember to actually turn the switch on by changing it's value from 0 to 1.
