Export Basic UVs to Maya via Engine...possible?

Hi - 

 

I've created a very basic digital asset of a sphere with UVTexture applied as a test. When I open the .otl in Maya via Houdini Engine, it loses the UV's, and the texture vanishes. 

 

Even applying a new texture doesn't work at that point...

 

Can anyone figure out what I"m doing wrong?
