rsd
Hi. I've recently finished personal project, "Hard Landing". It's started as a volume shader test, then I decided to make it more complex and try Houdini the way it's meant to be used - as "a tool for destruction". Enjoy. Link Everything done in Houdini (including compositing) and rendered with Mantra Raytrace. All surfaces are shaded using PhyShader, volumes are shaded using custom volume shader. I've also encountered some other interesting problems dooring the project development, solutions of them are shown in the making-of. Making of: Link Thanks community, there are a lot of useful info here; and thanks qLib developers, qLib was heavily used in this project. Atom
Looks nice! What is the PhyShader, it does not seem to come up when I do a search on Houdini 15 Apprentice? Is Mantra faster in Raytrace mode?

Is Mantra faster in Raytrace mode? PhyShader is a physical based shader I'm developing - http://forums.odforce.net/topic/21673-physhader/ In most cases Raytrace is faster and produces higher quality than Micropoly, especially in volume rendering.
