Krion
Is it possible to mirror a selection? Thanks in advance
Krion
Or rather just; mirror a Soft Transform node So when you translate or rotate that Soft Transform you get the mirrored effect on the other side. davpe
well, can't you simply use the Mirror SOP after your transform?
konstantin magnus
hi devin, you can use the abs command to turn negative values positive while keeping positive values untouched. that way you get a reliable kind of symmetry. you can build smooth gradients instead of rigid selections e.g. by using VOPs (see attachment). soft_sel.hipnc
Krion
Thanks you both Mirror was what i was looking for. Sorry this is my first 3D package. When i found out about that SOP i already wanted to delete this thread but i couldn't find a way to do that. (didn't do a deep search for that tho) The VOP method looks very interesting by the way! I hope i can actually understand that in a few years, haha, Have a great day! Edited March 29, 2016 by DévinOdforce
