Atom
Hi All, I am trying to figure out how to take a simple tear drop shape and have the spherical part of it morph into another shape, like an animals head. I have the animal head model and the tear drop shape. What nodes do I use to accomplish the morph? Thanks lionhead_01.stl.hipnc Edited April 11, 2016 by Atom
zoki
vdb morph sop ? it is very powerful Edited April 11, 2016 by zoki
Atom
I thought VDBs might be involved. I have a basic setup but the node turns red indicating error. There is no example file in the help for H15 either. The error is that I am missing a target grid? I am not sure what the node expects. lionhead_01.stl.hipnc Edited April 11, 2016 by Atom

Atom
I made a little more progress. I tried combining Zoki's setup with Matt's ripple solver following the recipe that is described on the description of the Vimeo link posted above. The result of the ripple solver is converted to a VDB then back to polygon. No VDB Morph is needed, only a combine because the ripple solver is handling that portion of the effect. ap_ripple_solver_face_drop_VDB.hipnc
