ISUther
Hello, Been up all day and night. Finaly got some good renders out but discovered a thing that i do not like in my project. At frame 1 my "Growth_ehk_geo2" starts too heavy... What i mean by that is that i need it to occure from start with more detail. That means that it starts only with few dots not as many as it starts at the moment. Everything else is ok but i need the grow thing start with less at start I attached project file. Do you know how to change that so it starts with less particles? Uniform scale? rbowden
You have no pscale on those points. Mantra is just assigning a default sphere size to you. You can calculate pscale just by putting down a wrangle and typing @pscale =.01; Change the .01 to whatever you want but, it will still keep it a constant size the whole time. I don't know if spheres is what you want through the whole thing or not but, if you want a smoother mesh, look into the particle fluid surface sop also. ISUther
Thank you. I will try it. But where to should i put wrangle node? between what noes?
rbowden
You would put it at the end of the network. I want to add that you should know why you are putting it there and what pscale is. The fact that you didn't have it in there to begin with and didn't think about it tells me that you are missing a basic foundation of Houdini. I understand that you are new but, please take the time to watch some of sidefx and user tutorials of the basics of particles and rendering. It will only help you in the long run in understanding a project like this and others in the future. Here are some links to get you started. If you get stumped on a specific subject in one of these videos, google is your friend. Chances are if you just type what ever subject you are looking for followed by either houdini, sidefx, or odforce, you will find what you are looking for (eg. GI lighting odforce).https://vimeo.com/95644892 https://vimeo.com/126176376 https://vimeo.com/143618200
ISUther
Thank you so much. The first the particle guide was a bit cinfusing as he uses vopsop ther but in houdini 15 we dont have it those any more. And when replacing it with something else then the in VEX builder thigs are also bit different. I am realy sorry if i ask too much or stupid questions. My brain is able to remembers stuff usually differently then just reading stuff. I have to be on hands on. This is why i did pic up complex anim ation that looks cool also. Followerd tutorial and started to investigatre etc. Atm i know now that using wrangle and typing @pscale =.01; wilkl change the particles size. and changing the number in @pscale =.01; will make those bigger or smaller. And now i remember it as i did do it thanx to you and i did see what did it change. Also started to test out things. Alot to learn and i will do my best to do so. Thank you so much this means a lot to me.
