Mirrage
Hey guys, I'am a little new in houdini and start thinking about one thing.. What is a good starting point to make wet particles emitt behind car? Here is a little example : CAR EXAMPLE I should look like a particles emitt from the car on the wet ground. Here is also good example from deadpool: DEADPOOL Look at the motorbike tire at 1min whic emitt a particles. Someone have any example how should I start to work with it? Dont have .hip file because dont know how to start with it.
Juraj
Hello and welcome, check attached example file, you can build on top of it and add more features. jt_tire_pts.hipnc
Mirrage
thank you so much Juraj. This is amazing starting point I think. Now I will brind my car rig to this scene i try with it. Hope it will be easy to setup for moving car and going lef/right. I will attach it for the car tire with rivet maybe.
Juraj
Hi, I wouldn parent particle simulation to vehicle, just import your vehicle geometry, delete everything but tires and plug it along with ground geo to the setup and it will work for all tires.
Mirrage
Juraj your .hip was realy useful but now have problem when car is not moving in straight line. Sometimes my car have to turn a little right and left. Is it possible to make this effect static withou this tire rotation and just attach it to my car. Because now I have to create really long plane for distributing particles and this is not comfortable when I import 10 cars whic are not in the 0 position. Mirrage
Here is screen from Houdini wher I've draw some lines. Black arrow show in which way I would like to emitt my particles and this red cross show where I would like to delete them. Use delete node and make some expression for delete or what should I do ? Hi, you can create simple particle system and parent it to tire's animation. However I think that it will look better if simulated on a plane. It is only particle system it should be fast even with 10 cars. You can also delete particles which hit the ground and stopped moving. This should speed things up. 6 hours ago, Mirrage said: Here is screen from Houdini wher I've draw some lines. Hi, I am not sure what is causing particles going in wrong direction. Can you post your file? Particles velocity is derived from tire's velocity, it should point in oppostite direction.
