art3mis
Hi Still a novice when it comes to using shaders in Houdini. Coming from a mostly Unity background so I at least have a good grasp of concepts like Physically Based Rendering and Global illumination. For a novice like my self it seems like the Principled Shader is a perfect resource to quickly get the results you need. What seems to be missing are any 'presets' or material database so anyone can just 'dial in' settings to get the material you want (with appropriate maps of course). Figure 16 in this Disney BRDF paper can be used as a starting point I guess but I was hoping someone might know of a better resource. https://disney-animation.s3.amazonaws.com/library/s2012_pbs_disney_brdf_notes_v2.pdf
