garethuk
Hi, I am trying to pre fracture a branch like piece of geometry. But I want the fracturing to be relative to the curvature of the branches. I understand that normally, for example with a plank of wood, you would scale down the wood plank in 1 axis, apply your voronoi fracture, and then scale the wood back to its original size. This would give you a splintered wood like effect. This is what I want on my branches, but I can't figure out how you would apply this on geometry that isn't aligned in anyway to a single axis. I'm going to guess matrices would be involved? Any help is greatly appreciated ! A scene file and the geometry file attached. branch_fracture_1.hipnc branchGeo_244.bgeo
vtrvtr
I might be wrong with this one, but I think what you'll have to do is divide (with the clip SOP or something similar) them, fracture and merge again I suggest using a trapezium to cut them apart
