Yon
Hey, I noticed most of the OceanFX tanks are setup to inherit velocity from the wave deformer, will this be enough to make a seamless flip/ocean blend? Or do you need to apply the same displacements as well? Or, no inherited velocity and just displacement. Thanks if you can clear this up. tamagochy
Nobody help with flip sim here. I use flip tank modified by ocean spectrum. After sim done you no need to use displacement from ocean. But when i try to use ocean surface shader on flip mesh it works wrong way. So there is no problem to blend ocean surface and flip but problem with shader foam.
Yon
Ic, thanks for reply. I messaged CeeGee (Igor Zanic) who is well known for FLIP. He uses displacement on flip mesh. I think the shader will not work without maps because of the foam attribute. But with the simulation with ocean velocity's, and using maps at same time - will make a doubling effect and not blend? I am testing ..
tamagochy
I use custom foam map for flip surface, but foam noise is change and strobbin...
