Atom
Hi All, I have reached a point where I need to place some objects in the extreme background. But when I move them too far, they disappear in my viewport. I assume this is the far clip of the viewport. When I press the D-KEY to bring up the options, the near and far clip are greyed out. Why can't I adjust the far clip of my viewport? Why are those values greyed out? Edited November 4, 2016 by Atom
Atom
Ok, I guess I figured this one out. In other apps the viewport is kind of like it's own camera with it's own clipping values. It looks like in Houdini the clip values from the current view camera are used instead. Because I was looking through a camera switcher these values are greyed out. Once I broke out into the floating perspective camera I could once again set the values in the dialog. Whew..
