You can use the default C syntax file to get started, and add a few more keywords -- (and remove a whole bunch of stuff if you really want).

Thanks George, i know i usually use the C syntax or the RSL syntax, the first is better.

Hopefully side fx integrates the vim editor into the houdini string editor.

Thanks for the info if sometime i have enough time to create a VEX syntax fille i'll share it.
