DKG
Hi guys ! I follow the forum since a year now, and most of the time I found a lot of answer in the different threads about my problems. Some tips are really usefull. But here I come with a strange issue about my current project. I'm trying to make a pyro shockwave, and since the start I have a strange artefact about my density. As you can see in my hip, there is density appearing in the center of my shockwave at frame 25 and I can't figure from where it comes... If anyone have an idea or can look in the project file, it will be really helpfull to me. Thanks a lot to the community, and have a good day ! debug_shockwave.hip
Jesper Rahlff
The problem is that you are using your particles as a source without caching them out first. It is very good practice to always cache out your source (you can choose to do that after the source volume, or before the source volume). Your particles are previous frame dependent. every frame affects the next frame and so on. When Houdini is loading your source into your smoke sim, it does not have that information. Caching out your source fixed the issue. debug_shockwave1.hip
DKG
Wuuuu, Thanks a lot Jasper ! Didn't know this had any influence on pyro. Caching my source will become a routine now. Thanks again.
