todd dufour
Hi I am totaly new to all of this... I am a long time mac guy....but last year I got to take a class at SESI in Santa Monica and fell hard for HOUDINI... Wickedly profound software. So after a little refinancing and creative accounting. I managed to scrape up enough money to get myself a new system. This is the first time I have bought a PC. I have always run on MAC. So this is the system that I bought. //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// HP workstation x4000 product description: Includes: Windows
Marc
Hi Todd A little refinancing eh? jeepers... . Anyway, first thing you need to do with HP workstations (and all machines actually) is upgrade to the latest nvidia drivers. That should solve most of your hardware lockups and wierd graphical oddities. Let me know if that works for ya. Marc
todd dufour
I have spent most of the day data mining for info and have discovered that I need to : 1) probably flash and reset the cmos and bios (call to HP tech support) 2) have service pak 2 for win2k installed 3) get the latest drivers from nvida 4) install reelplayer 8 instead of reel one player 5) or turn sharpening off in reel one playe I want to thank you for replying so quickly, I have noticed your name in a lot of these posting helping others. Thanks...
