In fact, it shows how Houdini can be integrated into a pipeline & also, Mantra is a capable production renderer. In an ideal world, Houdini will be used for everything. But it looks to me like just another article where you see the mentality: yes, we know Houdini is the most powerful tool but we don't want to use it until we really, really have no choice.
