foetz
hello, i noticed quite nice scripts in houdini/scripts/<<whatever>>. so now the stupid question: how do i use them? especially the glow.cmd in the vop folder sounds interesting cause i think houdini is still missing light related stuff. think of the dozens of lightglow shaders in xsi; classic flare, classic flare bright, real flare... yes, i know xsi is not comparable but the light stuff is really nice by the way, where is glowing edges in the new compositor? thanks and greetings
Jason
Hi Foetz, Some of those scripts are executed in the various contexts "Operator Scripts" menus. The operator scripts menus executes various hscripts and a few tcl/tk scripts too. Do Ctrl+RMB on a network pane on Objects to see most of 'em. There is a lensflare shader you can download from od[force] if you like. I agree that Houdini doesn't ship with very many "make pretty" shaders and features, but it's certainly capable to make them Alas, for all the new compositor's fantastic new architecture, it's still missing a couple of fundamental nodes, like the Render COP. Cheers, J
