PlatinumFishy
I am attempting to model a cassette tape in Houdini. I wanted to start off by doing as much as I can before extruding it so it would be easy to make good topology. The only main part I am missing is the rounded corners. I know I can poly bevel the corner edges AFTER I poly extrude my flat template but is there a way I can round them before the extrusion? Doing it before would make retopologizing easier. Edit: This is also my first serious attempt to model something (I know houdini isnt meant for modeling per say) so advice on how to improve my topology would also be appreciated. Noobini
could try something like this: 01) get the corners with the Valence preset in groupexpression, call them corners. 02) bevel the corners, you'd expect the group corners to be avail in the dropdown list...but no....bug ? who knows, just type in corners
PlatinumFishy
Okay I'm sorry I was being dumb haha, I was trying to do the poly bevel based on edges and polygons but I didn't notice that it works with points too.
