lisux
Hi list, i want to generate deep shadows from a mantra ROP. I know i can generate Depth Shadow Maps using the -Z or -z parameters for the mantra command, but what about Deep Shadows, is possible to render them from a Mantra ROP? Thanks

Thanks 22126[/snapback] I asked this recently and I'm afraid there is no direct support for rendering deepshadows directly from the camera view -as in a -Z or something. I believe you may have to place a light at the camera position and generate it this way.

At the moment the best solution i use is to create a Mantra ROP that dont render anyting, only force light to generate their shadow maps. Hopefully SESI can add an option to render deep shadows from the Mantra ROP in future releases.
