ivan
ha anybody ever heard of .rpf files? I think they're some kind of 3dmax depthfile format. Is there a way to convert a floating point tiff rendered from mantra into a .rpf file?
michael
it's derived from rla...I remember when it came out many people were wondering if any other app could make/use it...and I think the conclusion was that it was proprietary to Discreet(now Audioslave)...it's relly just like a deep raster...can hold lots of different things, color, alpha, depth, objectID, etc, etc.... you might check a good max foum or maybe even a combustion forum for any additional info... ivan
I asked on the mailing list, too. I think there may be a translator, but it might not be the right format. If you hear of any translators, let me know. it's derived from rla...I remember when it came out many people were wondering if any other app could make/use it...and I think the conclusion was that it was proprietary to Discreet(now Audioslave)...it's relly just like a deep raster...can hold lots of different things, color, alpha, depth, objectID, etc, etc....you might check a good max foum or maybe even a combustion forum for any additional info...
