Wolfwood
http://www.linuxjournal.com/articles/lj/0066/3522/3522f4.pnghttp://www.linuxjournal.com/articles/lj/0066/3522/3522f3.png and the article it came from: http://www.linuxjournal.com/article/3522 22683[/snapback] This article is clearly false. We all know that Maya was the first app to port to Linux and while there were internal Maya builds that ran on Linux during 2000 (Maya 2.5), the first public release on Linux wasn't until March 2001, (Maya 3). Thus, I'm concluding that having Houdini on Linux in 1999 is indeed a scam. Seriously though, nice find. (Jason || Marc) should add them to the Houdini/Prisms Nostalgia page, which I can't seem to find at the moment. Thought it was here? http://www.odforce.net/gallery/
LEO-oo-
I remember there was a Linux-version of Houdini in summer 2000 at Siggraph - I got a short introduction. I wrote my article "Graphic and Video on Linux" in Sept. 2000 and at this time they had an anouncement for a Linux-version of Maya.

LEO-oo-
deecue - I got screenshots in 2000 too - but not from the linux-version. They said - the GUI is on all systems the same. So it is possible this are screenshots from an other version. This is common in the industry and if you dont have a own version, you use the shots from the press-pack.
