Managing Nodes Flags Inside An Otl

Hi all.

I have an OTL that has a in it a model in high and in lower res.

That i want to do is to allow the users to setup how the view the model.

For example allow to view the high res while viewing the template of the low res, or viceversa, etc ...

I have tried to use the opset command in a callback script linked to a button, but with no luck.

Any advices?

Thanks

Hi,

I don't think you can change the display/template settings for a locked hda.

I tried to do something like this not too long ago and posted to the sesi mailing list. I ended up just using a switch sop to switch between 2 different objects for display.

See here:

As for templating, maybe there's an easier way but maybe with a switch sop you can have a wire sop version of your lo/hi res object?

hope this helps,

/Rick

Thanks Rick

I am precisely trying to avois the use of the switch sop, so i am lookig for alternatives, but it seems that the only way is tp use the switch hack.

I am going to put an RFE to the sidefx forum.

Just in case someone comes across this post in the future, it seems that I was wrong.

Only the render and display flags are locked in an otl. You can opset the template and footprint flags.

Thanks to Wolfwood for pointing this out on the sesi forums.

This is really a note to myself when I forget about this in the future :P
