Creating content is one of the more expensive/time consuming parts of developing a game. Most players like creating their own content. Having a game where players create the content seems like a win win. A lot of the online role playing games out now have some form of player created content. (I know in EVE you can create your own Starbases which other players can dock at (for a small fee.)) However Spore seems to take player created content to a whole new level. Can't wait.
