Ultron
Hi! WHO I AM: I am Tobi from Germany. I work for television and do Animations for kids (2D and 3D). In the Past I worked a lot with Softimage, now I use Cinema. But Cinema isn´t the best tool to do Effects. Thats why I finally downloaded Houdini and try to get into it with tutorials in the moment. I hope I also will have a nice time in your impressive community. MY PROBLEM: I think this isn´t a newbee problem: I have a new test scene and insert: cube, distant light, camera and a mantra node. After that I start MPlay and get this Error Message: Error Command Exit Code: 1 13536: Fatal error: Segmentation fault mantra: Error writing data to image device Sometimes Mpay Starts but after the next start I get this Error Message (with changing Numbers) again. Rendering to Disk and Render View is no problem at all. My System Houdini 16.5.323 Edit: Today I uninstalled this version and tried the 16.5.496. No Changes Intel i5-3570 RAM 8GB Windows 10 64bit Can you help me? Exact Error Message and Crash log is attached. crash.tscho_000_13536_log.txt Edited July 1, 2018 by Ultron
Jason
Hi, Try a very new build -- there were some updates to Windows which caused some issues with TBB and such. I saw this come and go on the SideFX forum. Try the Daily Build.
Ultron
I did. I uninstalled this version and tried the 16.5.496. No Changes I thought it might be the Firewall but it isn´t either.
