probiner
Hi looking for any existing pointers about generating fibers to fill a volume and pushing things out. I'm wondering if I can avoid Vellum or sims. But seems unlikely at this point.. Cheers
kleer001
Without benefit of sims I would animate the box by hand first. I'd set some goal scatter points on the bottom of the box with matching start scatter points on the ground under it, draw lines between them and resample them. Then distort the lines with noise, probably offset a bit for each line so they don't look too much the same. I'd probably need control along the line and distance from ground and from the box. Maybe offset the noise animation speed by each line too? There's some wiggle room for faking it, but a sim will be more intuitive, faster, and better looking.
