michael
from the link Luka Stolyarov Instructor My name is Luka Stolyarov, I was born in Ukraine and moved to the US at the age of 18. Having studied criminal law in Ukraine, I wanted to pursue the same career here. However, during my studies in Berkeley as an English Language and Literature major, I discovered the computer arts and became a passionate fan of them ever since. Upon graduating from UC Berkeley, I was lucky to find a job as a Lab Technician in the 3D animaton department of the Academy. It was great because not only have I met a lot of awesome instructors and students, but also I have been introduced to every aspect of visual effects - from matchmoving to particle effects. I'm currently a Houdini and Maya instructor at the Academy, as well as a VFX supervisor for a small independent film company called "Udachi Productions".
